The latest Lego Technic kit represents the fearsome, 261mph Bugatti Chiron – and it is available now.

Developed in partnership with Bugatti, the model is claimed to encapsulate the magic and elegance of the hypercar in Lego Technic form, as well as delivering a unique, authentic build experience for car and Lego fans alike.

The 1:8 scale Lego Technic Bugatti Chiron measures 14cm tall, 56cm long and 25cm wide and consists of 3,600 pieces. The details include an active rear wing and spoked rims with low-profile tyres, while the W16 engine in the back has moving pistons.

Inside there’s an eight-speed gearbox with movable gearchange paddles behind the steering wheel, which bears the famed Bugatti emblem.

Each Chiron model comes personalised with a own unique serial number, carefully stored under the bonnet and accessible only with a “speed key” – the tool unique to Bugatti cars that allows owners to access the cars’ top speeds. The key also enables you to switch the active rear wing from the handling (maximum downforce) to the top speed (minimum drag) position.

Another authentic Bugatti Chiron element is the inclusion of a stylish Bugatti overnight bag.

The model also features the classic duo-tone blue colour scheme, while a set of identifiable stickers adds additional detailing to the build.

The Lego Bugatti Chiron follows the success of the Technic Porsche 911 GT3 RS model, which sold out in record time in 2016.

It is available from lego stores and for £329.99.
